ACERS Team night out Sat 23/09 (very, very long with Pic Slideshow)

Melb Storm beat Illawarra Dragons.

Several of the party animals from the ACERS team turned up to the Turf Bar, 131 Queens St City to watch a convincing win by the Melbourne Storm against Illawarra Dragons in the 2nd preliminary NRL final.

Attending members were: Stuart, Bec, Michael, Cynthia, Arnold, and Shaun.
Also there were Mikes brother Greg and his two lady friends Sarantha? and Nadine.

After the NRL game we continued to drink, chat and shoot a couple games of pool at Turf till they closed the bar. We then decided to hit the GPO Bar for a boogie but were told we needed to ring in and put our names on the guest list Saturdays.

As F4 Club was just a short stroll away and played House Music we headed there. A Guy Sebastian look-alike was at the door … and I thought the Storms Kingy had big hair, this guy’s Fro was massive.

Once inside F4 we hit the bar. It was then I started to mix my drinks (from Beer at Turf to Spirits at F4) a move I knew I was going to pay for in the morning.

We all got down to the dance floor and busted some moves. Michael pulled out some dance steps I haven’t seen since Irene Cara in Flashdance and something that looked like it came straight out RiverDance – he was pissed.

Talking about pissed, Bec thought I would look good with her handbag around my neck. Needless to say I looked like an absolute Tool, but hey we were in a party mood!

Due to privacy issues some of the names have been changed to protect the innocent (or is that not so innocent) :-)

George, Fred, and Raul were the last people standing - leaving F4 at 3 or 4am to go get a feed. Fred was stopping every attractive, unaccompanied group of girls and using the “excuse me I’m from out of town” as well as the “excuse me have you seen my dog” lines (hilarious), unfortunately none took the bait this time but it was fun and a good laugh.

The group almost had a run in with a drunken Aboriginal guy that was hanging around the McDonalds near Young & Jackson’s. Fred was going to open a can of whoop-ass on him but thought better. Raul was ready to karate chop his knee caps (which were the only things Raul could reach). Not sure where George was, but usually in these situations George's one of the first to leg-it out outta there haha - but this guy was harmless … They hoped ... (George remember the 160Kg Maori that one time ?? – what was Raul thinking!!)

The taxi rank at Flinders was chockers and Fred offered to give George & Raul a lift. George and Raul initially refused due to the extended distances but Fred was insistent. Raul said he would regret it but after having some hairy moments and fish-tailing it a few times on the slippery roads through the Westgate freeway Raul feels it will be his local Laundromat who will be regretting it.

Below is a Picture slideshow of the night. Enjoy !
