Taking into account feedback received as a result of Wednesday’s email to all team contacts regarding the early closure of the Albert Park fields, the following arrangements will apply over the final three weeks of the summer season. This information should be taken as a response to emails received on this matter and it would be appreciated if you could pass it on to your players.

Thursday 18 January

Rounds 10 and 11 will be played as 2 x 20 minute games. This format will give teams an extra chance to qualify for the finals. All players will be expected to sign on before each 20 minute game, and both games will count towards player eligibility to play in the finals. Players who have signed on for a minimum of three games will be eligible to play in the semi finals and a list of eligible players will be sent to team contacts on Friday 19 January.

The draw for rounds 10 and 11 has been revised and is on the website. All teams should check their game times and fields carefully.

Thursday 25 January

Semi Finals will be played between 1v4 and 2v3. The eligibility criteria of three signed on games will be enforced for these teams.

Playoffs between 5v6 and 7v8 will also take place in Mixed C, Mixed D and Mixed E North. We are looking at a three way play off between the teams that finish 5, 6 and 7 in Mixed E South and these teams will be contacted separately. All registered players will be able to play with their team.

All semi finals and playoff fixtures will be available on the website on Friday 19 January.

Thursday 1 February

Grand Finals will be played between the winners of the semi finals. All grand finalists will be asked to remain for the presentation to be held in the sheds immediately after their game.

Touch Football Australia has confirmed that a refund will not be paid in recognition of fewer games being played. We at Touch Victoria appreciate that this may cause dissatisfaction amongst your players and we apologise if this is the case. We also appreciate your support and recognition that this is an unprecedented and difficult situation we are dealing with.
